Observer Editor, General Manager Accused Of Espionage
Editor of the Nigerian Observer, Mr. Richard Amayo, and the newspaper’s general manager, Mr. Tenent Idu Akenzua were arrested by security agents on February 26 and accused of espionage.
They were arrested over two front page stories in the February 22 and 23 editions of the newspaper which the security men said were capable of undermining the on-going transition programme.
